At Liberty Transformation Ministries Uganda (LTMU), we believe that every child deserves love, care, and hope for a better future. Many children in Uganda face tough challengesโ€”some have lost their parents, others come from extremely poor families, and many live without basic needs like food, education, and health care. Thatโ€™s why we step in with a Christ-centered approach to support orphans and vulnerable children.

Why Supporting Vulnerable Children Matters

In Uganda, thousands of children suffer due to poverty, war, disease, or abandonment. These children are often left alone with no one to care for them. Without support, many of them drop out of school, face hunger, or end up on the streets. However, when someone steps in to love and support a child, everything can change.

Jesus said, โ€œLet the little children come to meโ€ฆโ€ (Matthew 19:14). At LTMU, we take this seriously. We see every child as a gift from God and treat them with dignity, care, and compassion.

What We Do

We run several programs to support orphans and vulnerable children, both in rural communities and refugee camps. These include:

1. School Fees Support

Many children drop out of school simply because they cannot afford school fees or supplies. We help children go back to school by paying fees and giving them uniforms, books, and other learning materials.

2. Feeding and Health Screening

Good health starts with good food and medical care. We provide regular meals for children in our care. We also partner with medical teams to do health check-ups and provide treatment when needed.

3. Sunday School Programs

We teach children the Word of God through fun and interactive Sunday school sessions. This helps them grow in faith and develop strong moral values.

4. Bible Camps and Mentorship

During holidays, we organize Bible camps where children learn about Jesus, play games, make friends, and build confidence. We also train young leaders to mentor children and guide them through lifeโ€™s challenges.

Stories of Transformation

We have seen many childrenโ€™s lives change through our support. For example:

  • Grace, an orphan from Mayuge, was living with her sick grandmother. With our help, she returned to school, received medical care, and joined our Bible club. Today, she dreams of becoming a nurse.
  • Samuel, a boy from Iganga, was on the streets before joining our program. He now attends school regularly and loves to sing in church. His smile says it allโ€”hope has returned!

These stories are just a few examples of what God is doing through our ministry.

How Our Approach Is Christ-Centered

We do not just give physical help. We also offer spiritual support. We pray with the children, teach them to read the Bible, and remind them that God loves them. Our goal is not just to meet temporary needs but to help them know their purpose in Christ.

When children know they are loved by God, they gain strength to face tomorrow with courage. This is the heart of our mission.

How You Can Help

The need is great, but together, we can make a lasting difference. You can support our work in many ways:

  • Sponsor a childโ€™s education
  • Donate clothes, food, or medical supplies
  • Volunteer in one of our childrenโ€™s programs
  • Pray for the children and our team
