๐Ÿชš Building Hope with Carpentry & Joinery

At Liberty Transformation Ministries Uganda (LTMU), we believe that hands-on skills can create lasting change. Through our Carpentry and Joinery Project, we are empowering young men and vulnerable youth with practical skills to build furniture, fix homes, and even start their own workshops.

In many parts of Uganda, especially rural areas, unemployment remains a big problem for the youth. Many young people drop out of school and have no means to earn a living. This project gives them a second chanceโ€”one that is practical, empowering, and rooted in faith.

๐Ÿ”จ What the Project Offers

Our Carpentry and Joinery Project provides:

  • Basic and advanced carpentry training
  • Joinery and woodwork techniques
  • Tool handling and safety education
  • Business and entrepreneurship lessons
  • Spiritual mentorship and discipleship

By the end of the course, each trainee can design, build, and sell products like chairs, tables, doors, and beds. Some graduates even go on to train othersโ€”passing on the gift of opportunity.

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŽ“ Real Stories from Changed Lives

Hereโ€™s what some of our beneficiaries had to say:

“Before this program, I was just at home doing nothing. Now I make doors and windows for people in my village. I feel useful and proud of myself.”
โ€“ John, Luuka District

“Thanks to the carpentry training, I started my own small workshop. Iโ€™m now able to support my wife and children. God is good!”
โ€“ Peter, Iganga

“I used to think I had no future, but now I teach others how to make furniture. I thank Liberty for believing in me.”
โ€“ Sam, Bugiri

These stories remind us that skill-building isnโ€™t just about workโ€”itโ€™s about restoring purpose and dignity.

๐Ÿค How You Can Help

You can help us reach more young people and transform more lives by:

  • Donating carpentry tools or wood
  • Sponsoring a student
  • Volunteering as a trainer or mentor
  • Praying for our trainees and trainers

Every contribution counts. Whether big or small, your support helps someone move from dependency to independence.

๐Ÿ“ Where We Work

Our carpentry workshop is located in Iganga District, Eastern Uganda, and serves youth from neighboring communities through both in-house and mobile outreach programs.
