💖 Serving the Overlooked: How Namawejje Rita Is Bringing Christ’s Love to the Elderly and Vulnerable Girls
At Liberty Transformation Ministries Uganda (LTMU), we believe that no one should be forgotten—especially the elderly and vulnerable young girls. These are some of the most neglected groups in our communities. But thanks to the tireless work of Namawejje Rita, hope is rising again.
Rita is our Community Engagement and Advocacy Officer, and she has a big heart for people who are often left behind. Her mission is to give voice to the voiceless, show them love, and provide the support they need to live in dignity and purpose.
🌿 Why This Work Matters
In many Ugandan communities, elderly people are isolated and struggling without help. At the same time, young vulnerable girls face poverty, abuse, and lack of education. Many are orphaned or forced into early marriage. They feel forgotten.
That’s where Rita steps in—with a warm smile, listening ears, and practical help. She doesn’t just visit these people. She stands with them, prays with them, and works to change their lives.
💪 What Rita Does on the Ground
Rita leads several impactful activities under the ministry’s outreach program:
- Visiting elderly people with food, clothes, and encouragement
- Supporting young girls with counseling, mentorship, and access to education
- Advocating for their rights in communities and local leaders’ meetings
- Organizing awareness sessions to protect girls from abuse and early marriage
- Sharing the Gospel, reminding every person of their God-given worth
Her presence brings joy to broken homes, and her voice helps others see the forgotten with compassion.
✨ Real Impact, Real Stories
In one of the villages we serve, a grandmother named Nakku had been living alone, struggling to find food. When Rita visited her, she not only brought supplies but also sat and prayed with her. That visit changed everything for Nakku—she felt loved and seen.
In another case, a teenage girl who had dropped out of school due to family challenges received Rita’s help. Through counseling and support, she is now back in school and hopes to become a nurse. These are just a few of the many lives being touched.
