At Liberty Transformation Ministries Uganda (LTMU), we believe that strong leaders build strong churches and communities. Thatโ€™s why one of our main goals is to train pastors and evangelistsโ€”especially those in rural and hard-to-reach areas. These leaders are the hands and feet of Christ, spreading the Gospel and caring for people in their communities.

Why Training Matters

Many pastors and evangelists in Uganda feel called to serve, but they lack proper training, resources, and support. Some have never attended Bible school or leadership classes. Others work in isolated villages or refugee camps where mentorship is limited.

At LTMU, we step in to fill this gap. We help these faithful men and women grow in knowledge, leadership, and spiritual strength so that they can lead well and multiply disciples in their areas.

How We Equip Leaders

Our training programs are practical, biblical, and flexible. We focus on both spiritual and personal growth, helping leaders gain skills that they can use every day in ministry. Hereโ€™s how we do it:

1. Pastoral Leadership Conferences

We organize regular leadership conferences where pastors come together to learn, pray, and share experiences. They receive Bible teaching, leadership lessons, and encouragement from other leaders. These conferences refresh their spirits and give them new tools to lead their churches better.

2. Evangelist Training Workshops

For those passionate about reaching the lost, we hold evangelism workshops that cover topics like sharing the Gospel, follow-up for new believers, and church planting. We teach both street evangelism and personal witnessing.

3. Discipleship Classes (Online and In-Person)

Not all leaders can travel, so we offer discipleship classes both in-person and online. These classes cover core Christian teachings, leadership development, and how to train others. We encourage leaders to start small groups and house fellowships in their communities.

4. Training Refugee and Local Pastors

So far, we have trained over 300 local and refugee pastors across Uganda. Many of them come from places like Iganga, Mayuge, Kamuli, and Namayingo. These pastors are now teaching others, starting new fellowships, and making a big difference where they live.

Stories of Transformation

One pastor named James, from a rural area in Luuka District, attended our leadership conference. Before the training, he felt tired and unsure of how to grow his small church. But after learning new skills, receiving encouragement, and connecting with other leaders, he returned home with fresh vision. Today, his church is growing, and he is mentoring younger leaders in his village.

Another story comes from Rose, an evangelist working in a refugee camp. She joined our online discipleship program during the COVID-19 lockdown. Now, she leads a Bible study group with over 50 people attending every week.

These testimonies show that training changes livesโ€”not just the lives of pastors, but also the people they serve.

The Long-Term Impact

When we train a pastor, we impact an entire community. One trained leader can plant a church, disciple believers, care for families, and raise up more leaders. It becomes a ripple effect that keeps growing. Through our training programs, we are building a stronger church in Uganda, one leader at a time.

How You Can Help

You can be part of this mission! We need support to print training materials, provide meals during conferences, and offer scholarships for pastors in need.
