At Liberty Transformation Ministries Uganda (LTMU), we know that prayer is not just a spiritual activityโ€”it is the very foundation of our mission. Every outreach, every life touched, and every village reached starts with prayer. We believe in the power of prayer because we have seen how it opens doors, changes hearts, and brings Godโ€™s presence into impossible situations.

In this article, we want to share how prayer fuels our ministry, and how you can be a part of what God is doing in Ugandaโ€”even from your home.

Prayer: The Heartbeat of Our Work

Before we plan any mission trip, hold any event, or step into any village, we begin with prayer. We ask God to lead us, protect us, and prepare the hearts of the people we will meet. Prayer is how we hear from God and gain strength for the journey ahead.

For example, during one of our rural evangelism outreaches, we spent days praying and fasting. When we arrived, we met a village that was once resistant to the Gospel. But because of intercession, the community welcomed us warmly, and many gave their lives to Christ. That is the power of prayer in action.

Intercession Changes Lives

At LTMU, we have a team of dedicated prayer warriors who intercede daily for the ministry, our partners, and the people we serve. They pray for:

  • Open doors in hard-to-reach areas
  • Protection over our missionaries and volunteers
  • Healing for the sick and broken
  • Spiritual revival in churches and communities
  • Strength for local pastors and leaders

Through their faithful prayers, we have seen sick people healed, refugees find peace, and entire families come to Christ.

Testimony: Prayer in the Refugee Camps

In one of the refugee camps we visited, the people were feeling hopeless and forgotten. We began by simply praying with themโ€”no big stage, no large gathering, just hearts crying out to God. Slowly, the atmosphere changed. Joy returned. A woman who had not walked in weeks stood up and began to praise God. Others started coming forward, asking for prayer and giving their lives to Jesus.

Prayer made that breakthrough possible.

How You Can Be Part of This

You donโ€™t need to be in Uganda to support missions. Your prayers can reach where your feet cannot. When you pray for LTMU, you join us in the spiritual battle. You become part of every soul saved, every leader trained, and every life restored.

Whether you pray once a day, once a week, or join a prayer group, your intercession truly makes a difference.

Join Our Prayer Team

We are building a global family of believers who commit to praying for LTMU regularly. We send prayer updates so you can pray specifically and see what God is doing through your intercession. Together, we believe we will see transformation in Uganda and beyond.
